While most home projects inevitably include unhealthy or harmful chemicals, we double down on our due diligence, striving to utilize products with low Volatile Organic Compounds, otherwise referred to as V.O.C.’s. Any product we plan on using in your homes or our own, meets GREENGUARD Certification | UL.

Volatile Organic Compounds are defined as any compound possessing a high vapor pressure or low water solubility. These compounds are typically man made and can be found in many building and cleaning materials, such as formaldehyde toluene, and benzene. Some V.O.C’s are known to cause cancer and can react with other gases which may cause additional air pollutants.

For those of you wondering that do not want to be dragged all across the web, a green guard certification implies that an item or material is in compliance with chemical emission standards, and the manufacturing process of these items or materials has been thoroughly tested to ensure as little impact to your indoor air quality as possible. Greenguard offers two tiers of this certification, a standard Greenguard certification, and a more stringent variant, Greenguard Gold, which has been deemed by various eco friendly building codes as acceptable to the general public in places where air quality is of the highest importance such as schools and hospitals.
